County Teams on Fire!

County Teams on Fire!
01 Feb

Our U12 and U14 County teams have had some great matches so far this season and are showing their amazing talent across the county.

Our U12s started strong, beating Magic and CD Phoenix, with a draw against Boost also. So much depth and talent in this squad. Their next game is Sunday 4th February vs Stars NC.

Our U14s joined the league later so have played their matches in a shorter amount of time. This has not been an issue, they are a very talented and energetic group who are performing well. They won their first two games against Stars NC and Mid Sussex NC and have their next game on Sunday 4th February vs 5 Ways.

Well done girls, it is amazing seeing you all play at county level and at such a high standard.

(Below are some action shots of the U14s and team photos)

CNC Charity Tournament a Huge Success!

CNC Charity Tournament a Huge Success!
01 Feb

On Sunday 28th January, CNC hosted 15 teams from across the South in our annual Charity Versatility Tournament. The charity we are supporting is Chestnut Tree House, an Children’s Hospice that offer incredible support and help for children and young people with terminal or life-threatening illnesses in Sussex.

There were 15 teams who played in 2 groups. The winning 2 from each went into the Cup, 3rd and 4th into the Plate, 5th and 6th into the Shield and 7th and 8th into the Bowl.

There was some amazing netball on display, but with versatility, there was also lots of fun and smiles. Well done to the 4 winning teams:

Cup – Midas 1

Plate – CNC Blue

Shield – Wrens

Bowl – Ravens

A fantastic event which has raised over £950 for Chestnut Tree House.

CNC are also taking part in The Big Hoot 2024, where in aid of Chestnut Tree House, we have sponsored an owl which we will decorate and this will be on display in Summer 2024 in Chichester and Arundel. We cannot wait to start decorating.

Same time next year? Cannot wait….

CNC goes International…

CNC goes International…

On Sunday 21st January, a group of CNC members travelled to OVO Wembley Arena to watch the Vitality Nations Cup.

We were treated to two amazing international games of netball; New Zealand vs Uganda and Australia vs England!

The games were incredible and our CNC members really got into the matches, with huge cheers especially when England scored.

It was a fantastic game, the players are huge role models for our members and many were chuffed to get selfies/autographs!

Regional U13 Squad having a strong start to 2024

Regional U13 Squad having a strong start to 2024
29 Jan

Our amazing regional U13 squad are going from strength to strength through the season and already look like a different team. They are working incredibly hard in training and this shows on court. Through their fitness, strength, tactical play and overall fluency as a team.

In 2024, we have played 2 matches against MK Dons and Team Beds.

We travelled to Milton Keynes early in January to play MK Dons for the second time. Last time it was a close game that they won by 6 goals. This time, we wanted to prove ourselves. MK Dons were strong and led through the first 3 quarters. 3 goals down going into the last quarter, we had kept ourselves within reach if we could just keep fighting….and that they did. CNC managed to win the final quarter to take the game! Amazing.

This weekend just gone, Team Beds travelled to us to play our next regional game. CNC won last time but we knew Team Beds had some strong wins this season also, showing their potential and threat. Luckily, CNC led from the start and managed to hold onto this through the 60 minutes. Win 41-34.

Incredible girls, 9 games played, 4 wins and 5 losses, but many of them were close and only by 2 or 3 goals. 5 games left to go and currently sitting joint 4th in the table!

CNC Qualifies for Regional!

CNC Qualifies for Regional!
19 Oct

Here at CNC we are bursting with pride for our U13s who have qualified for the South Regional Division 2 League for the 23/24 season.

Back in July, 13 girls travelled to the regional qualifiers, alongside many other clubs. The girls had a great morning, winning a few games and losing some narrowly. We made it through to the next stage of the qualifiers where we were playing to qualify for the final 16.

The girls gave their all and WE QUALIFIED!!!! I am so proud of the girls, they smashed it.

In August 2023, we went out to local businesses to find some sponsorship for some regional kit and 4 amazing, local businesses have shown amazing support.

We have bought a rucksack for all of the girls thanks to Farrow Browne Gryspeerdt Ldt. We also bought new dresses and tops thanks to Timothy Roe Fine Jewellers, Buzzword Creative and Berries on Tap. The girls look very smart and we could not be more grateful.

We did not know what the league would be like but with a new 2 hour training session, the girls have been pushed, physically and mentally, and have so far achieved 2 wins and a narrow loss in the league. This proves Chichester Netball Club mean business and fully deserve their place in the regional league.

12 Oct

Due to popular demand, CNC are excited to add another session to their weekly training schedule.
